An Oracle Ace Director and expert in the visualization of data and development of analytics strategies, Tim combines a strong background in Oracle-based machine learning with extensive experience in business analytics and data strategies. Tim co-authored Oracle Press’s book titled, “Data Visualization for Oracle Business Intelligence 11g”. Tim consults with leading data visualization academics in the development of frameworks and the application of technical research in real-world data visualization implementations.
Tim joined Huron Consulting Group as a Director in their Data Management and Analytics practice in 2024 when Huron acquired Vlamis Software Solutions and has worked on hundreds of engagements with many of America’s leading corporations. Tim led the Oracle Machine Learning practice at Vlamis in the development of statistical and predictive analytics workflows and processes for more than 15 years. Tim is also an expert in Oracle Spatial Studio and the application of geo-spatial analytic algorithms for multi-layered map development and usage with Oracle Analytics. Tim has strong knowledge of Oracle Graph Studio and graph analytics/network theory going back more than 15 years to his membership in the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO) and his clinical role with CA et (Complexity in Action Network).
Tim’s international business experiences include leading partnership formations and dissolutions in Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, and Canada, negotiating acquisitions in Mexico and Canada, and leading the establishment of a new business entity in India. Tim developed and teaches four courses for Pearson Publishing/O’Reilly Media: Enterprise Data Visualization, Enterprise Analytic Warehousing, Modeling Complex Enterprise Data, and Oracle Analytics for Enterprise Data Solutions. Tim earned his Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) designation from the American Marketing Association and served as an Adjunct Professor of Business in Benedictine College’s Traditional and Executive MBA programs for six years. Tim earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Economics from Yale University.
