A trained electrical engineer, I learned the craft as a DBA and team lead at a major Swiss telecommunications provider, then spent over a decade as a Solution Manager, consultant, and trainer at Trivadis — now part of Accenture. Today I specialize in Oracle Database security: Advanced Security, Unified Auditing, Data Safe, encryption, Oracle Unified Directory, and Enterprise User Security — backed by deep DBA expertise in high availability, backup & recovery, OCI, and automation. I co-authored the security chapter of Der Oracle DBA (Hanser, 2016), write for Red Stack Magazine, and have spoken at DOAG for over 15 years, along with AOUG, SOUG, OUGN, UKOUG, and Oracle CloudWorld / AI World.
