Mihaela Gheorghe-Roman is an experienced Software Architect with over 14 years of building complex enterprise applications, mainly in the defence and telecom domains. She currently works as a Software Architect at Systematic Romania, focusing on full-stack solutions in the defence sector, using modern architectures with microservices and microfrontends. Her core technologies include Java, Spring Boot, Scala, and Angular, complemented by experience in C and C#.
She holds a Ph.D. in artificial neural network algorithms and has conducted research in the field of intelligent systems. In parallel, she is an Assistant Professor at the University of Cybernetics and Informatics in Bucharest.
Mihaela is also an active contributor to the tech community - writing technical articles about Java and full-stack development, and speaking at various conferences and meetups.
Outside of work, she loves traveling, running marathons, practicing martial arts, doing aerobic training, and and enjoys spending time with her parrots.
