I'm your average database professional based in Utah, where I manage a talented team of DBAs. I started my professional journey in the world of Human Resources... but please don't hold that against me. I wisely left that field and moved into more hard tech. Those early years did instill in me an affinity for putting the "Human Touch" in my work - something that continues today. I’m passionate about helping people learn the basics of database technology and supporting them as they get started in the field. I love making complex topics approachable and watching newcomers gain confidence and skill. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me fishing, mountain biking, camping, or hiking in the Utah outdoors.
