I am an Oracle ACE Director with more than two decades of experience in Oracle Database Administration. My career began with a background in electrical engineering, which led me into information technology and eventually to my passion for databases. Over the years, I have worked as a DBA and team lead at a major Swiss telecommunications provider, and later spent more than 10 years as a DBA consultant at Trivadis. Following the acquisition of Trivadis, I continued my journey at Accenture, focusing on database architecture and security.

My expertise covers database infrastructure and administration, Oracle Database Security (including Advanced Security, auditing, encryption, and Data Safe), as well as backup & recovery, high availability, and automation through scripting. I work with both on-premises environments and the Oracle Cloud (OCI) to help organizations implement secure and efficient database platforms.

I am a frequent conference speaker, co-author of the book Der Oracle DBA (Hanser, 2016), and I regularly share my knowledge through blogs and technical articles.
