Benjamin works as Technical Lead for Cloud Technologies at codecentric. He has long-term experience with building, coaching, lecturing, writing and public speaking on the Java ecosystem, Software Craftsmanship (Clean Code, Katas & Coderetreats), Microservices architectures (Event Storming, Domain-Driven Design, CQRS & Self-Contained Systems), Cloud-Native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps culture & CI/CD pipelines) as well as project management (agile methodologies, team building & innovation). Furthermore, he teaches at three different universities in his home region. At evenings and weekends he organizes talks, workshops and hackathons at six user groups, that he has founded and grown ever since: Java User Group Thüringen, Softwerkskammer Thüringen, Devoxx4Kids Thüringen, Hackathons Group Thüringen, Golang & Cloud-Native Group Leipzig, Software Architecture Group Leipzig. He also serves as a board member at the Java Aktuell Magazine, at JavaLand (the iJUG Java community conference in Phantasialand), microXchg (the Microservices & Serverless conference in Berlin) and some more conferences. In his free time he likes to travel around the world, explore cities, visit theaters & operas and celebrate photography.
